Little Red Riding-Hood

Once upon a time there lived in a certain village a little girl. Her mother had made for her a little red riding-hood. So everybody called her Little Red Riding-Hood.

One day her mother said to her “Go and see how your grandmamma does, carry her a custard and this little pot of butter.” Little Red Riding-Hood set out immediately to go to her grandmother who lived in another village.

As she was going through the wood, she met with a wolf. “I am going to see my grandmamma and carry her a custard, a little pot of butter and something special.” she said to him. “Something special?” said the wolf. “Yes. It’s You.” said the little girl.

—tap, tap.
“Who’s there?”
“Your grandchild, Little Red Riding-Hood.”
“Pull the bobbin, and the latch will go up.” Little Red Riding-Hood pulled the bobbin, and the door opened.

“Grandmamma, I have brought you a custard, a little pot of butter sent you by mamma and something special.”
“That’s very kind of you, my child.”

“Here’s a warm and fluffy coat made of the wolfskin.” said Little Red Riding-Hood.
